...you’re always free to fork and call it Pete’s Swanky Framework, design a logo for PSF, and invite everyone to use that for whatever they like. – DHH

  • I’m digging pete’s swanky framework. We expect a release by the end of the month!

  • I didn’t even have to relearn anything to start using Pete’s Swanky Framework…. I just printed a new cover for my old book

A nicely polished pirate version from Mike Riley is here:

That pirate one rocks metaphorically and visually.

I’m a big fan of the pirate one, and also Pete’s Swanky Framework.

  • Rails is dead. The PSF fork is where it’s at.

  • If I could draw, I’d do a Ninja-theme logo. Ninja’s kick Pirate’s arses every time.

A pirate theme should use this SEGA font to tie in with the oldschool Shinobi look.

    Ruby on Rockets :)

Ninja theme sounds great, pirate theme would be my second choice.

Ok, this has been fun, but I received a bit of clarification.

There’s no point in making a separate logo for “Ruby on Rails” since it would still be referring to the same name, brand, code, etc.

Official guidelines for the use of the Rails graphic may be posted sometime in the future. In the meantime, use of the term “Ruby on Rails” is acceptable, so there’s nothing to fear about that.

Thanks to everyone who sent in designs! Maybe your remaining creative energies can be put toward a non-photographic logo for Merb?
