I’ve just tried to install the plugin using the command line you gave in the article, and… It doesn’t work. Can’t find the server. I’ve checked and there’s nothing there. Is the plugin still available?

Just added a pastie, allowing you to load and dump all habtm tables for a model with one function call. The pastie explains it all. email me with any questions or bug fixes. Thanks!

Very useful – would be cool if it generated the YAML file in ID order. Rails 2.0 style migrations would be nice. Would be really nice if there was a good way to dump out join tables.

"The Host with the Most" by Peter

I just wanted to pop back in and give some more thoughts on Slicehost. In my last comment I mentioned that the admin setup was more difficult. This is true, but they have a full set of excellent easy-to-follow tutorials that make setting up Rails hosting there a piece of cake.

HostingRails on the other hand has become less reliable for shared hosting. I regularly have mysql memory errors, slow response times, and my mongrel clusters get stuck and don’t always restart properly. They do now offer competitively priced VPS plans, but I’ve moved to Slicehost. and am very happy there.

"About This Blog: Custom Textile" by James King

Just a quick follow-up on my previous comment. Those people using the latest version of RedCloth (v3.290) who wish to used customised textile markup and HTML output might be interested in this thread.

http://www.ruby-forum.com/topic/149632

I think Geoffrey’s technique works best in version v3.0.3 or v3.0.4.

@Chris: I have the same problem. I’ve been using the same technique for a while but my YellowCloth class doesn’t work with the latest build either.

I think the latest RedCloth gem (v3.290) is an extensive re-write to the previous versions and isn’t as easily extended as the version used in this article.
